Have you ever thought why you always start a new diet on a Monday? Why you always binge on the entire contents of your kitchen cupboards and get in that final takeaway before you start? Starting your diet on Monday weighing an extra 7lbs because you've been binging all weekend. This is what I call self-sabotaging behaviour. What you probably don't realise is that you're self-sabotaging your path to success before you even start!
If you're the type of person who has to rid the house of all the food that tempts you to 'cheat', then you shouldn't be starting another diet. You should be working on your mindset first and learning to understand where this behaviour comes from. What is the root cause and how you can overcome this.
This used to be, EVERY.SINGLE.TIME. I mastered the art of self-sabotage and have tried every diet you can possibly think of. From Slimming clubs, to replacement food packets, to making myself sick and even weight loss surgery. They all failed in helping me achieve my weight goals. Some of them would make me successfully start to lose weight but eventually life would get in the way or something would trigger me and the weight would go straight back on (and then some!)
I embarked on a spiritual energy healing journey (I didn't even focus on my weight issues, I didn't think this would help!) Instead I focused on energy blocks, where they came from, why I was holding onto them and released them. As a result, I found myself dropping the self-sabotaging thoughts. I realised I no longer went to the supermarket and bought my stash of chocolate, ready for the next binge. There are temptations surrounding me in my home and I'm not effected by it. I am no longer controlled by the food I consume (or want to consume). I am able to follow a healthy regime and for the first time in my life I am not living by my excuses. I am exercising EVERY.SINGLE.DAY.
The truth is, the excess weight you carry is more about protection. You are protecting yourself from a situation or someone. If this has been your battle year upon year, you are most likely protecting yourself from a multitude of things. It's time for you to release the energy and live your best life.
